Welcome to Spoopy-Spooky! First up, Hocus Pocus vs The Monster Squad!

 

Prepare to be scared! The midnight society minus one is back this week for a fun-filled, spoopy discussion of some of our favorite cheesy Halloween movies! This week, we revisit our childhood and all of the festivities that came with it– its Hocus Pocus vs The Monster Squad

We begin this trip down Halloween memory lane by opening up the show and discussing what we’ve been watching for the past week and follow up by discussing the Beekly 3.  We kick off the segment with the news of Disney’s live-action Lion King remake. Can Jon Favreau double-down and make another box office winner, following up his latest film, The Jungle Book?  Next, we discuss the latest trailer of the upcoming film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Will Johnny Depp make his triumphant return as Jack Sparrow or will this sequel fall flat? Finally, we discuss HBO’s recent comments of following up Game of Thrones with a spin off series set in Westeros. What will Todd think of this awesome news!? Bonus discussion– Is Tim Burton a racist based on his recent comments?

For this week’s versus segment, we leave our pillows on the floor as we use the cases for our Halloween haul. We compare some of the spoopiest Halloween films when we talk Hocus Pocus vs The Monster Squad. Which film will win our nostalgic hearts over again?  Stay tuned to find out who wins!
